Overview
ASP.NET Core Manager brings first-class .NET hosting to DirectAdmin. Provision applications, pin runtimes, deploy releases, manage environment configuration and watch logs — all from the control panel your customers already use, with no shell access required.
Major features
Application management
Create, start, stop and remove ASP.NET Core applications from DirectAdmin without touching a shell.
.NET runtime management
Install supported runtimes and pin each application to the version it was built against.
Deployments
Publish new builds with a controlled restart, and roll back when a release misbehaves.
Logs and monitoring
Live process state, resource usage and application logs, without SSH.
Domains and bindings
Map applications to domains and subdomains using DirectAdmin's existing web configuration.
Environment variables
Manage configuration and secrets per application, kept out of the deployed source.
Capabilities
Supported .NET versions
-
Long term support releases Target the LTS runtimes your applications are built for, side by side on the same server.
-
Side-by-side runtimes Different applications on one server can run different .NET versions independently.
DirectAdmin integration
-
Native plugin Installs through DirectAdmin's Plugin Manager and appears alongside the panel's own features.
-
Respects panel permissions Admin, reseller and user levels see only what their DirectAdmin role allows.
Deployment
-
Zero-shell publishing Upload a published build and have it staged, swapped and restarted for you.
-
Controlled restarts Applications are recycled deliberately rather than killed, so in-flight requests drain first.
Application monitoring
-
Process health See whether each application is running, its uptime and its last exit reason.
-
Resource usage Per-application memory and CPU, so a noisy neighbour is easy to identify.
Runtime management
-
Runtime inventory See which runtimes are installed on the server and which applications depend on each.
Configuration management
-
Per-application settings Environment variables and configuration managed per application and applied on restart.
Logging
-
Application logs Read stdout and stderr from the panel, with tail and download.
Security
-
No shell access required Customers manage .NET applications without being given SSH on the server.
-
Isolated application users Applications run under their own account, consistent with DirectAdmin's isolation model.
